How to build a simple spaced review routine

A simple way to revisit material over time while changing the task from reading to retrieval and practice.

Do not make every review identical

Use the first pass for structure, the next for retrieval, and later passes for practice questions or explanation from memory. Changing the task exposes different gaps.

Decide what returns sooner

Material recalled easily does not need the same attention as material that disappears after a short delay. Use an error log to decide what comes back first.

Mix old review with new material

Start a session with a short retrieval block from earlier material before moving to the new lesson so the plan does not become a chain of isolated units.
