Use audio after a first pass
Audio review works better when the concepts are not completely new. A first reading gives the spoken explanation something to connect to.

When you cannot restate an idea in your own words, return to the source rather than continuing through the episode automatically.

Write two or three questions from the episode and answer them without opening the material. That turns listening into review you can check.
